Who are we looking for? We are looking for a permanent and full-time lab technician for a Materials Science lab. She/he/they will work for the Application lab for Customer Service. This position is located in San Martino di Trecate (NO), Italy. What will you be doing? The candidate will be employed to work in a Lab for materials testing on samples related to the galvanic industry. Will have to perform customer service non routine analyses with efficiency and high autonomy, using complex laboratory instrumentation such as Microscopes, SEM-EDS, XRF, Corrosion chambers, Spectrophotometers, etc. Beside the instrumentation, you will execute a high precision handling work, performing metallographic troubleshooting on defected samples. After a training period on processes and instrument you will work with autonomy. Who are You? Minimum qualification requirement: Diploma of Chemistry. A good knowledge of the English language and office package are preferrable. What competencies will you need? Investigative mindset, based on scientific method. Creativity and high efficiency, mixed with precision and autonomy in decision making. Willing to learn and embraces change. Team-building skills and the proven ability to work with a diverse group of people. Relational skills to undertake and manage projects working in multi-functional Teams (Quality, Production, Process, Maintenance) in a rapidly expanding Chemical Site. Good verbal and written communication skills in English. Appetite for delivering continuous improvement. Able to establish personal credibility at all levels building effective relationships. Apply understanding of assigned business processes to identify gaps and propose continuous improvement measures. Work closely with the process owners to understand issues root causes and standard process deviations. Proactively seek feedback from fellow team members and other internal and external customers. Mon-Thu 8:30 -12:30, 13:30 -17:30, Fri 8:30 -12:30, 13:30 -15:30 with half an hour of morning (8:30 -9:00) flexibility guaranteed.
