THE COMPANY Multinational chemical Company THE ROLE TECHNICAL SERVICE ENGINEER - OIL AND LUBRICANTS SECTOR Providing TOP level technical support (Centre of Excellence) and advice to Global Accounts and selected OEMs within respective sector across EU region. Acting as support to other Company TS on complex technical issues (on site coaching, training etc.). Contribute to RT agenda. A. POSITION NATURE & SCOPE Key Accountabilities: Provide 1st class level technical support to Company OEMs, GAs within specific sector in EU. Strong commercial awareness, utilizing any opportunity for extending and/or uplifting of Company business Developing and maintaining Technical network within Key Customer organizations across EU Work with sector OEMs, following market trends and equipment development Initiate and Support Field Trials and product/services development in respective sector in EU. Create Success Stories High-level support of other Company TS staff (on site coaching, training, product launching etc.). Providing Customer Benefit Solutions based on own knowledge and experience. Supporting complex technical issues and Quality Complaints within respective sector. Providing market feedback (from customers, OEMs) back to R&T through Product Technology Manager. Act and behave in line with Company values and procedures, sticking to local regulations and QHSE rules. Representing Company in relevant organizations and bodies (in line with RT). Act as gate keeper for Sector Success Stories from others Drive OEM liaisons (e.g. approval process) Key Challenges: Proper customer/OEM management based on understanding customer type (e.g. banding) and experience. Speak customer language (i.e. using solution benefit approach rather than product features), creating advanced solution utilizing Company technology, products and services. Keep right balance between Technical solution and Commercial aspects. Coaching and development of other Company TS staff. Proper understanding of Customer needs through relevant tools. Communication and Working Relationship (Internal/External): External - Customers, distributors, OEMs Internal - other TS members, various functions like CSC, Manufacturing, Sales and Marketing, Research and Technology etc. Requirements & Education: Min degree (Bachelor of Science or higher) in Technical discipline (Chemistry or Engineering is preferable). Skills/Experience/Knowledge: 5-seven years of Lubricants or other relevant experience, Customer facing experience. Language skills: English + one EU language (IT, GER, SP, FR). Others are beneficial Superior communication abilities (written and verbal), good presentation skills Coaching skills.
