Who are we looking for ? We are looking for a Junior Process Engineer. General Purpose of the job: Support manufacturing to streamline processes by implementing of smart systems, reduce rejects by using SPC to continuously control and improve manufacturing process. Support and assist with corporate quality issues and initiatives. The role involves the continuous search for losses, attributable to an economic value, at the basis of the analysis of all production processes that lead to the transformation of incoming products (raw materials) into finished products. The role is mainly focused on technical aspects, taking advantage however of a transversal and multidisciplinary, d rawing on the resources of the Site in terms of Safety, Environment, Quality and Cost Control (Maintenance/Investment/Unit Cost - CPU). This position is located in San Martino di Trecate (NO), Italy. What will you be doing ? Under the direction of Process Engineer, the candidate is responsible for maintaining Statistical Process Control of key products and providing engineering support to improve first pass yield and promote process efficiency and cost improvement. Who are You ? Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical engineering or equivalent 4 years technical degree. 1 or 2 years previous Process Engineering experience. Experience in handling and blending liquid and dry chemicals. Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills. Able to prepare clear simple operating instructions (flow charts) and systematic reference material for line operation reference, for example OCAPs, defect library, etc. Pro-active in continuous improvement programs to improve equipment control, process performance, throughput and total cost reduction. Ability to grasp product and process characteristics and requirements. Must have a track record of engineering achievement and progression. Team player and ability to interact closely with other departments. Ability to speak read and write English. What competencies will you need ? D aily monitoring of production for quality, cycle time, EHS compliance, and consistency with documented work practices. Develop processing standards & methods and oversee training to ensure best practices are followed on all production shifts. Analyze, and interpret SAP process historical data to correctly focus improvement activities. Creating plans and designs using CAD technology CAD 2D & 3D. Determine root causes for out-of-control products as well as other product failures and follow through with corrective actions. Support QA on customer complaints related to batch manufacturing processes including work on Corrective Action Request (CAR). Write and modify Work Instructions for existing products. Troubleshoot and resolve process equipment related problems. Collaborate with Maintenance/Production and follow proper Management of Change protocol on equipment repairs and process changes. Coordinate with Maintenance, Production and oversee execution of equipment and instrumentation calibration program.
