To learn more about this opportunity and submit your application, please refer to the following: ROLE The Database Informatics Assistant will report directly to the ICOS activities coordinator and interface with the ICOS ETC working group. He/she will be responsible for day-to-day management of the database, development of new features, and interaction with the dedicated data processing work group. RESPONSIBILITIES The Database Informatics Assistant will support the ICOS Ecosystem Thematic Center through: Daily management of the database of measures and metadata Data quality control Developing tools for quality improvement Data distribution control REQUIREMENTS Technical diploma and/or degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Statistics) Knowledge of the Italian language with a minimum level of C1 Computer skills and predisposition to work related to the software side of computing Aptitude for teamwork and learning about software procedures in management and scientific applications Preferential qualifications will be: Experience or knowledge of a programming language (coding) Experience or knowledge of databases (relational or nonrelational databases) Experience or knowledge of web-related technologies Knowledge of the English language DURATION, COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Please note that this opportunity will be issued both internally and externally. The position will be at the CMCC office in Viterbo at the University of Tuscia. The contract will be for an initial period of 12 months (renewable) with indicative start between July and September 2024, with a gross amount in the range 20-26K Euro based on qualification and experience. Welfare package, for minimum 12 months contract. Flexible working time as per internal policies. Support during the immigration process, if needed. PROTECTED CATEGORY Belonging to legally protected categories (ex L. 68/99) will constitute a preferential condition.
