What You Will Do The R&D Deployment Materials Scientist - Selfcare will be responsible for the deployment of global or regional supplier driven changes as well as aspirational dual sourcing initiatives across brand strategy, with scientific rigor, commitment, and creativity while contributing to GP improvements and total NTS growth. This role will deliver technical activities and milestones for our project execution with human-centered insights and cross-functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities Project execution * Technical lead to deploy the execution of projects to secure business, ensure compliance, reduce complexity and optimize costs of our Kenvue raw material portfolio currently on the market. * Lead and execute double sourcing qualification to improve material cost efficiency and material resiliency. * Provide technical support, evaluating impact of supplier changes will occur on current raw material portfolio, ensuring deliverables execution and supporting technical problem-solving. * Execute pipeline activities on time. * Coordinate support functions (Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing plants, Regulatory Affairs, Analytical, Microbiology, Quality, etc.) and assures project follow-up. * Interact with Materials Global Lead to ensure appropriate management of Global raw material portfolio following one-touch approach. * Operate dependently with senior R&D technical advisor on technical direction. * Manage routine organizational processes and complexity. * Input data and information for peer-reviewed manuscripts and tech reports. * Provide progress/updates to the cross-functional project team. * Follow standards and ensure the department meets quality, safety, and regulatory requirements. Technical Understanding * Gain Raw Material technology and chemical science experience. * Optimize Material Supply chain to meet cost objectives and guarantee raw material availability. * Maintain awareness of materials competitors management to evaluate new opportunities and potential applications of our brands and products. Internal/external partnership management * Engage in day-to-day interaction with internal functions and suppliers' partnership (as needed) Other duties * Participates in cross-discipline or department discussions to enable the sharing of breakthrough insights and helps groups interact and explore adjacent fields, creating opportunities for breakthroughs and creative ideas What We Are Looking For Required Qualifications * Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Science, Chemistry, Engineering, Pharmacy * 2 years' experience of related work experience * Office 365 Pocket (Outlook, Power Point, Power BI, Excel etc.) * Initial understanding of material chemistry and formulation is required. * Cosmetics, OTC, or pharmaceutical experience are required. * Fluent written and oral English communication skills are required. * Good communication and presentation skills are required. * Good ability in term of Problem-solving, Complexity management and Decision-making authority Preferred Qualifications * Working knowledge of TRU, CAPRI, Symphony Kenvue is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
