Context is a long-standing tour company and B Corp, backed by growth equity since 2017. ROLE: Part-time worker LOCATION: Rome, Italy ELIGIBILITY At Context, we foster and encourage lifelong learning. This summer, part-time sales opportunity is open to all interested individuals who are looking to learn and grow their skills. ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP Context Travel’s newest products are audio guides that tour Vatican visitors through the Vatican Museums, St. Peter’s Basilica, and Castel Sant'Angelo. The Sales Representative role is designed to teach entry level sales and guerrilla marketing techniques, and to spread the word about these products on the ground in Rome. Representatives will assist this effort by posting flyers, handing out postcards, and promoting the products on the spot to Vatican visitors. They will establish relationships with local hotels/hostels, restaurants, universities, etc. where they will provide patrons information and marketing collateral for these audio guides. Other creative marketing ideas and methods will be welcome. Sales Representative will report to Context’s Sales and Digital teams. This opportunity will begin in June 2024 and conclude in July 2024 . WHAT YOU WILL DO Creating relationships with local businesses and providing them with marketing collateral Posting flyers and handing out postcards Promoting audio guide products to Vatican visitors Offering wifi hotspots and assisting customers with the downloading of the audio guides WHAT YOU WILL LEARN Sales skills Guerrilla marketing techniques End to end sales process How to build prospect lists Email and sequence writing Relationship management Meeting planning and appointment scheduling How to pitch business and manage sales calls Tracking against sales and communication goals How to work in a team setting and cross-team collaborate WHAT YOU WILL BRING Fluent English language skills Conversational Italian language skills Strong social skills An affinity for sales A basic understanding of Rome and the Vatican The ability to get around the city easily In addition to the above, we’d like to see the following traits: Scrappy, roll up your sleeves attitude Humble collaborator and team player Voracious desire to learn In exchange, we are thrilled to offer: A supportive, mission-oriented working and learning environment with mentors and colleagues who care $15 USD/hour, guaranteed 20 hours a week Unlimited access to Audio Guides and Online Learning products Context Travel is an equal opportunity employer.
